Gurdjieff World Forum

About the World Forum

What does one do after meditating after working at a job, after psychotherapy and self-help books and after having a good time doing whatever you desire? All the latter only provide a relatively ephemeral purpose for one’s life. Finding an essential purpose in this life and understanding how your individual purpose connects to the greater purpose of all life is the ultimate question a human being inherently desires to answer. This is one’s real Work.

Our Mission

The Gurdjieff World Forum is a space where group members can exchange knowledge, experience and understanding from their individual and group Work. We are committed to ensuring that Gurdjieff's writings, music, ideas and practices remain accurately transmitted. The goal of this forum is to meet the needs of those individuals wishing to contribute to the energy required for the realization of their own I and the reciprocal maintenance of all that exists in the Universe.

What you will experience on this Forum

  • Mr. Gurdjieff’s written material, practices, and concepts
  • Discussions among individuals about the future and current conditions and practice of the Work.
  • The relationship of the work to current psychology and forces working in society that may be useful to augment the Work
  • A possible improvement of the Work “attitude” to to begin to look at human beings as inherently and essentially as good and capable of transformation.
  • Webinars, blogs and articles to give practical, experiential direction for the practice of Work ideas.
  • A list of organizations and individuals to contact in order to make a connection with the Work and to provide information that may be useful to everyone.
